Rheological transient effects on steady-state contraction flows

Abstract It may be assumed that the steady-state kinematics of viscoelastic contraction flows depends on time-independent rheological properties only. This idea is supported by large number references explaining steady simulation results considering only material functions. Even with numerical simulations, it would difficult to prove such a statement wrong. However, using Bautista-Manero-Puig class models allows obtain same response but different transient evolution. Here, we considered two fluids, one displaying monotonic trend towards and other at least visible overshoot in Our show for evolution fluid, significant increase pressure drop gathered. In addition, vortex quite fluids. research gives evidence rheometrical functions has great impact flow behavior.
